Hope, Empowerment, Support, and Advocacy

The core of our work in supporting pregnant adolescents and teenage moms in Nigeria is not a platform to encourage young girls to become pregnant or young mothers. We look after adolescents girls with unintended pregnancies and their children because we believe that an isolated event of unplanned pregnancy is not supposed to attract such capital punishment as a shattered destiny. We embrace damage control measure measures as we are not ready to give up on them.

We provide mental, social, emotional, educational, financial support and empowerment through;

  • Counselling (on/offline) pregnant/young moms and their parents/families
  • Support group for pregnant/young moms and parents/families
  • Mentorship program spearheaded by those who were once “victims”
  • The provision of accompanier to their first two ante-natal and post-natal visits
  • Afterschool coaching
  • Financial assistance towards schooling, trading, or apprenticeship re-enrolment.
  • We create awareness about the detrimental effects of toxic attitudes and stigmatization on pregnant adolescents/adolescent mothers and their family members. We also create awareness about the effects of unsafe abortion. We advocate against the brutal stigmatization and stereotyping mounted on them by our society.

    We offer comprehensive sexual and relationship education to young people and we partner with other NGOS with related visions. With the right support and empowerment, unsafe abortions would reduce and these girls can achieve their dreams in life.
