It’s August!! And here we go with Selah Series 2022.

The world continues to face diverse challenges - from political and economic crises to wars. Many marriages are equally going through crises with wrong stats getting worse; children being the worst sufferers. In my young life and career, I can posit that perhaps fixing homes is the one single way we can fix the world. Is this feasible? Who knows? One home at a time! Please shall we pray?

Dear Lord, we thank you for the previous episodes of the Selah Series, thank you for your people unto who you intend these messages and we thank you for the channels and the inspiration. We receive the blessings of this year’s episodes with thanksgiving in Jesus' name. Amen.

On behalf of everyone in the Selah Series Team, I want to ceaselessly thank you for your interest, confidence, time, feedbacks, ideas, and prayers – through the years. The Series is not back just because it has to be back every August. It is back because God has sustained His work in this ministry and because of your invaluable support. If the Lord does not send us, we will not go forth.

We are in the process of registering the Selah Series with the Corporate Affairs Commission as an NGO and seeking grants for the activities of the Emerald Light Initiative (ELI) arm of this vision. Until now, ELI has been funded by members of the team. The ELI is a mandate from God upon this team with a commitment to rescue teenage and adolescent mothers and their children, regardless of how bad their stories or failures might be. We will be delighted to have any ideas and suggestions you might have.

Although Selah Series writings seek to be very contemporary and practical at all times, we must state it clearly – it is a Christian mission, based on Biblical ethos and humanity, ultimately aimed to support God’s people (regardless of their religion or faith), and to God’s glory. As the world tilts towards full secularisation and as the leftists’ rights to be leftists seem to be cancelling out the rights of others who have chosen not to be leftists, it is vital that we pick and state our lanes, and to stay there. Thus, the posts are to encourage and support a targeted audience – Christians, and are not intended to condemn any group.

It has been a year! Last May, the Lord called home our sister, friend, and fellow-labourer in God’s work – Mrs. Oyenike Yemisi Adewoyin. Her family is blessed, thank God. Please continue to pray for them. She was the convener of the MRS (Marriage, Relationship, and Sexuality) platform. It is with the utmost sense of responsibility that Titilayo and I have after prayer sessions accepted the leadership of the MRS platform. Please have us in thy prayers.

Relationships and marriages entail more than sex, finances, parenting, and conflict handling. Yes, we will yet again be dealing with these popular themes, but we will delve deeper and wider into other aspects of life that are equally consequential in the success or otherwise of relationships and marriages. Please fasten your seat belts and enjoy a beautiful ride with God. Please drop your comments, criticisms, and prayer points, and let’s do this together, once again.

The idea is to run the Selah Series solely on www.selahseries.com. It will enhance a more robust conversation, in a single place. Contributions can be named or anonymous, as you wish. Please don’t hesitate to raise suggestions on how the website can be more user-friendly. Just a little spice - there will be quizzes and gifts at some points. Also, there will be gifts at the end of the Series for the most consistent discussants.
